Ever since I wrote my first program (not the "Hello World", but a program that actually does something..!), I fell in love with programming. It really fascinated me how you could automate real world tasks with some coding. I love to take a concept or a task and bring it to life, all while applying the best and efficient techniques, and writing clean code. I also love to learn new skills and apply them appropriately.

I have more than 12 years of experience in analysis, design, development, implementation, project management, testing, quality management, and maintenance of software applications, which includes web and mobile applications.

I started my professional career in Software Development right after graduation. I worked on AS/400 based business applications using COBOL and RPG for over 7 years, which also included Y2K conversion projects (yes I'm that ancient!). I then worked on client-server applications using Visual Basic 6.0 and ASP, and databases like Microsoft SQL-Server and Microsoft Access at the backend.

For the past 2-3 years, I've been working on Front End/Full Stack Developement, mainly in the MERN stack. I recently earned certifications in Responsive Web Design (HTML5, CSS3), JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures, Front End Libraries (Bootstrap, React, Redux, jQuery), Data Visualization (D3), APIs and Microservices (node.js, Express, MongoDB, Mongoose, REST APIs), and Full Stack Development.

I am detail oriented, result oriented, with excellent organizational, time management and problem solving skills. I have also mentored a lot of junior developers over the time of my career.
